As a new radio station offering programming previously not available in the region, 1019, The Wave provides music and information for thousands of listeners daily and had been providing an online stream of programming prior to the questions regarding streaming rights and the potential of new rights fees that would be catastrophic to the radio station and company's business plan. Faced with the potential of these fees the online stream of 1019, The Wave has been removed and the radio station is no longer able to serve listeners with free programming via the internet. Wright Communications, LLLP totally supports the Free Radio Alliance and our ability to continue to provide free programming to listeners both over the air and online. |
