Free Radio Alliance Members Stand Up For Local Radio

April 3, 2019

Thanks to all of the Free Radio Alliance members who have taken action to ask your legislators in Congress to cosponsor a bipartisan resolution that would protect local radio.

As of March 5th, the Local Radio Freedom Act had 154 cosponsors in the House and 17 cosponsors in the Senate.

The Local Radio Freedom Act opposes a performance tax on local radio stations that would hurt their ability to serve their local communities. The resolution recognizes radio as an irreplaceable medium that creates jobs, provides free promotion for artists and airs essential emergency information.

Your action shows that working together, we can protect local radio stations and their ability to deliver life-saving information and music to 270 million radio listeners weekly across America.

If you have not already, take action now and ask your legislators to side with local radio listeners and employees in their districts.
